Our community and Council support each other to grow and flourish
We think our community’s potential is as boundless as the natural wonders of our lands, waters and sky.
Our Council serves around 400 residents: families with a history that covers thousands of years as traditional owners and custodians of the region.
Our active community life is supported by our Council services.
We support our local businesses to offer training and employment. We are committed to helping our people through ventures such as our local laws on alcohol restrictions.
We run programmes that target housing, community health and wellbeing. We are home to a renowned Arts Centre showcasing many successful local artists, sports and youth education activities and indigenous rangers – all contributing to our sustainable future.
