Your council supports our community of residents and welcomes leisure and business visitors to our rich region

The Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council provides a range of essential services, land and housing management, infrastructure and planning, local projects and employment.

We run special projects that target the particular needs of our people. We also connect with other shire councils in North Queensland to ensure that support services are accessible to all members of our community.

Our remote region means we have a unique perspective and responsibility for protecting our lands and our traditional beliefs and culture. The Council oversees local laws designed to support and sustain our community and protect our wildlife and the natural beauty of our vast landscape.
